Premier League Table After Arsenal Won 1-0

According to a report by BBC Sport on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Arsenal claimed an important 1-0 victory over Liverpool, thanks to Kai Havertz's first-half strike. Mikel Arteta's men demonstrated impressive defensive organisation, determination and composure to secure all three points against their opponents.

Arsenal took the lead in the 16th minute after Declan Rice produced an excellent pass into Liverpool's penalty area. Havertz reacted quickly and converted the opportunity from close range, giving the visitors an early advantage.

Liverpool attempted to respond immediately by increasing their attacking intensity. Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Florian Wirtz were involved in several promising moves as the home side searched for an equaliser. However, Arsenal maintained their defensive structure, making crucial interceptions and preventing Liverpool from creating clear scoring opportunities.

Goalkeeper David Raya also played a significant role in protecting Arsenal's lead. His confidence in dealing with crosses and ability to make important interventions frustrated Liverpool's attacking players throughout the encounter.

Liverpool came particularly close to drawing level in the 39th minute when Wirtz's free-kick struck the crossbar. Alexis Mac Allister also wasted an opportunity with a header that failed to find the target, leaving Liverpool without a breakthrough before the interval.

Arsenal also threatened to increase their advantage through Bruno Guimaraes and Rice. However, neither player managed to convert their chances, while Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson produced a comfortable save to keep his team in contention.

Following the restart, Liverpool enjoyed periods of possession and continued searching for openings. Nevertheless, Arsenal remained disciplined defensively, limiting the hosts' opportunities. Noni Madueke and Christos Tzolis also provided attacking threats for the visitors, forcing Liverpool to remain alert.

Tzolis came close to extending Arsenal's advantage in the 73rd minute, but Alisson produced an impressive reflex save to deny him. Liverpool subsequently introduced fresh attacking players, including Rio Ngumoha, in an attempt to increase their pressure and find a late equaliser.

Despite their late attacking efforts, Liverpool struggled to overcome Arsenal's defensive resistance. Attempts from Ngumoha and Ronald Araujo were blocked as the visitors successfully protected their narrow advantage.

Ultimately, Arsenal secured a valuable away victory, with Havertz's early goal proving decisive. Their defensive discipline, combined with Raya's important contributions, ensured Arteta's side left Liverpool with maximum points.
