Back
According to a report by Football London on Saturday October 24, 2026, as Mikel Arteta gets ready for a slew of crucial matches, Arsenal winger Christos Tzolis—whom the club signed in the summer—may be able to return to the squad next week.
During the international break, Tzolis was hurt while playing for Greece and has missed the last four matches for Arsenal in all competitions. On Saturday, he will not play in the Premier League match against Everton.
But according to Ryan Taylor of Football.London, the winger could be back in the starting lineup for Arsenal's trip to Liverpool next weekend—assuming his recuperation goes well—if the news gets out.
Taylor adds that Tzolis could play a role in Tuesday's match against Fleetwood Town if he recovers enough over the weekend, though Arsenal are not going to rush him back.
Arsenal is supposedly still intent on waiting until Tzolis is completely fit before letting him return to competitive action, despite the fact that their need for attacking options has grown due to Bukayo Saka's recent injury.
Tzolis will have plenty of chances to get back into game shape and make an impact for Arsenal before the next international break, as the club has four games remaining after Saturday's encounter with Everton.
Next week's games against Fleetwood Town and Liverpool could give the winger a chance to start for Arsenal, and he could then be available for the following matches against Slavia Praha and Hull City.
Arsenal are expected to face Borussia Dortmund at home and Newcastle United away after the international break, so his return would be especially valuable ahead of that demanding schedule.
Along with hosting Manchester City, Brentford, and Tottenham, the Gunners will face Real Madrid at home during their difficult run.
As Arsenal face a slew of tough home and European matches, Arteta may have more options in the attacking third if Tzolis is available.
Another thing to think about if the winger gets back into the game before the November break is Greece's impending international obligations.
On November 13, Greece will travel to the Netherlands, and on November 16, they will host Serbia. Before his injury, Tzolis started every match for his country in the international window of September and October.
Next month, Arsenal will be crossing their fingers that Greece takes their time with the winger's workload so he can recover and avoid another setback at a pivotal point in the season.
