Final EPL Table After Arsenal Won 1-0, Manchester United Drew 1-1 And Chelsea Won 2-0

According to a report by The Guardian on Sunday, October 18, 2026, the English Premier League standings witnessed significant developments following Arsenal's narrow 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, Manchester United's disappointing 1-1 draw against Leeds United and Chelsea's impressive 2-0 victory over Everton.

The latest results have intensified the battle for the Premier League title, with Manchester City maintaining their position at the top while Arsenal continue to put pressure on the league leaders.

Arsenal secured an important victory against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground despite struggling to break down their opponents for much of the encounter.

The first half ended goalless, with Nottingham Forest producing a disciplined defensive performance to frustrate Mikel Arteta's men.

However, the breakthrough eventually arrived in the 80th minute when Noni Madueke scored with a deflected effort to hand Arsenal all three points.

The victory moved Arsenal to 18 points from seven matches, leaving them three points behind Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Manchester United endured another frustrating afternoon after playing out a 1-1 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Bryan Mbeumo gave Michael Carrick's side the advantage in the first half, raising hopes of an important away victory.

However, Dominic Calvert-Lewin restored parity for Leeds United after the interval, ensuring both teams shared the points.

The result extended Manchester United's disappointing run in the Premier League, leaving the Red Devils with just seven points from their opening seven matches.

Chelsea, on the other hand, enjoyed a successful weekend after securing a comfortable 2-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Pedro Neto emerged as the decisive player for the Blues, scoring twice to help his team secure three valuable points.

The victory moved Chelsea to 13 points from seven matches, strengthening their position among the teams competing for Champions League qualification.

Manchester City remain first in the Premier League standings with 21 points from seven matches after recording seven consecutive victories.

Arsenal occupy second position with 18 points, having recorded six victories and one defeat.

Brighton & Hove Albion sit third with 16 points following their remarkable 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

Chelsea remain fourth with 13 points, while Liverpool occupy fifth position with 12 points after their 2-1 comeback victory against Brentford.

Brentford sit sixth with 10 points, while Leeds United occupy seventh position with 10 points following their draw against Manchester United.

Everton remain eighth with 10 points, while Hull City and Ipswich Town complete the top ten with nine points each.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa occupy 11th and 12th positions respectively, with both teams collecting eight points.

Manchester United sit 13th with seven points, while Crystal Palace also have seven points following their heavy defeat against Brighton.

Bournemouth moved away from the relegation zone after defeating Sunderland 2-0, while Nottingham Forest's defeat against Arsenal increased their difficulties near the bottom of the standings.

Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur remain among the teams struggling in the relegation places.

The latest standings highlight the contrasting fortunes of the Premier League's traditional heavyweights.

While Manchester City continue to dominate the title race, Arsenal remain determined to close the gap, and Chelsea are gradually strengthening their position in the upper half.

Manchester United, however, face increasing pressure to improve their performances after another disappointing result.

With several important fixtures approaching, the battle for the Premier League title, European qualification and survival is expected to become increasingly competitive.
