According to a report by Barca Universal on Sunday October 25, 2026, Real Madrid can reduce Barcelona’s lead at the top of La Liga to three points when they meet at Camp Nou. The match marks Jose Mourinho’s first El Clasico since returning to Madrid.
Real Madrid have confirmed their starting lineup against Hansi Flick’s Barcelona. Andriy Lunin replaces Thibaut Courtois, who misses the important encounter after being ruled out with flu, handing the Ukrainian goalkeeper a major opportunity.
Mourinho has also changed his defensive setup. Marc Cucurella replaces Alvaro Carreras at left-back, while Ibrahima Konate comes in for Antonio Rudiger. Federico Valverde continues at right-back, ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Denzel Dumfries.
The midfield remains unchanged, with Aurelien Tchouameni and Bernardo Silva expected to operate as the double pivot. Jude Bellingham will provide additional support while also playing an important role in Madrid’s attacking moves.
Arda Guler and Yan Diomande will support Kylian Mbappe in attack. The trio must deliver dangerous performances if Madrid hope to trouble Barcelona’s defence and secure a valuable victory against their fierce rivals.
Vinicius Junior will miss the game because of a four-match domestic suspension. His absence increases responsibility on Diomande, whose recent form offers encouragement, while Guler has an opportunity to strengthen his position as a regular starter.
Mourinho also has several alternatives on the bench, including attacking substitutes Carlos Espi and Endrick. Eder Militao provides another defensive option should Madrid need additional protection while attempting to preserve an advantage late in the contest.
