Alan Shearer Predicts Chelsea Vs Man Utd, Liverpool Vs Arsenal And Other Premier League Results

Alan Shearer has backed Chelsea to beat Manchester United and predicted a draw between Liverpool and Arsenal in this weekend's Premier League fixtures.

According to a report by Metro on Saturday, October 31, 2026, the former England striker has shared his predictions for the latest round of matches, including several important fixtures involving clubs competing for European qualification and survival.

Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge, with Michael Carrick under pressure following United's difficult run of results.

The visitors are without a victory in their last eight matches, increasing the pressure on their manager ahead of the encounter.

Shearer believes Chelsea have enough to secure all three points despite their defensive problems and disappointing 2-0 defeat to Tottenham last weekend.

"I’ve seen nothing to suggest that Man United can turn things around and for that reason I’m just going to say home win," Shearer said.

He added that another poor result would increase the pressure on Carrick, although a victory could provide United with a significant confidence boost.

The former Newcastle United striker also expects Liverpool and Arsenal to share the points when they meet at Anfield on Sunday.

Arsenal will be looking to respond after their Carabao Cup disappointment, while Liverpool head into the contest with positive momentum.

Shearer believes both sides could consider a draw a reasonable outcome.

"I think I’m going to go for a score draw," he said.

He also predicted home victories for Bournemouth against Leeds United, Brentford against Nottingham Forest, Manchester City against Brighton, Tottenham against Crystal Palace, Aston Villa against Fulham and Newcastle United against Everton.

Meanwhile, Shearer expects Coventry City and Sunderland to play out a draw, while Hull City and Ipswich Town could also share the points.

His predictions for the weekend's fixtures are:

Chelsea to beat Manchester United

Bournemouth to beat Leeds United

Brentford to beat Nottingham Forest

Coventry City and Sunderland to draw

Hull City and Ipswich Town to draw

Manchester City to beat Brighton

Tottenham to beat Crystal Palace

Aston Villa to beat Fulham

Liverpool and Arsenal to draw

Newcastle United to beat Everton.
