PSG Reach Decision on Selling Desire Doue to Arsenal Amid Advancing Contract Talks

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have been dealt a potential blow in their efforts to sign Desire Doue, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly making significant progress towards extending the forward’s contract.

The 20-year-old French international is currently tied to PSG until 2029, but discussions over a new deal are advancing. The proposed agreement is expected to secure his services for several more years, although negotiations have yet to reach a final conclusion.

According to a report by TeamTalk on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, PSG are keen to secure Doue’s long-term future as his influence within Luis Enrique’s squad continues to increase.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been monitoring the youngster as they consider strengthening their attacking options. However, the Premier League trio have previously received indications that Doue is not interested in leaving Paris and is open to extending his stay with the European champions.

Bayern Munich are also admirers of the forward after failing to secure his signature in 2024. Doue eventually completed a move from Rennes to PSG, where he has continued to establish himself as an important member of the squad.

His development has been particularly impressive in an attacking unit featuring several high-profile players. Doue initially competed for places alongside Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola.

However, Enrique increasingly favoured a front three consisting of Doue, Dembele and Kvaratskhelia. This development affected Barcola’s position in the team and eventually contributed to his summer move to Liverpool.

Doue’s ability to operate in different attacking positions, combined with his technical qualities and creativity, has made him an increasingly valuable option for Enrique. His performances have strengthened PSG’s determination to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.

The ongoing contract discussions are therefore unwelcome news for Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, who have followed his progress for an extended period. Their chances of convincing the youngster to move to England appear to be diminishing as PSG move closer to securing a new agreement.

Bayern Munich could also face disappointment in their pursuit of the Frenchman, particularly if the negotiations produce the desired outcome for the Parisian club.

Although no official agreement has been announced, PSG remain determined to retain Doue, leaving his Premier League admirers potentially needing to turn their attention towards alternative attacking targets.
