According to a report by Barca Universal on Thursday October 29, 2026, Barcelona are monitoring Chelsea winger Estevao’s situation as the Brazilian grows frustrated with his lack of playing time under head coach Xabi Alonso.
According to reports, the 19-year-old could consider leaving Stamford Bridge when the January transfer window opens if his situation does not improve.
Estevao was an unused substitute as Chelsea were eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Liverpool on Wednesday night. The match ended 1-1 before Liverpool secured victory in a penalty shootout.
Despite the absence of Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro, the Brazilian was not introduced, further raising questions about his role in Alonso’s plans.
Estevao has reportedly played just 163 minutes this season, including 125 minutes in the Carabao Cup, as he continues to struggle for regular opportunities.
Barcelona sporting director Deco is understood to be a long-time admirer of the youngster and reportedly views him as one of the most exciting attacking talents to emerge from Brazil since Neymar.
The Catalan club previously tracked Estevao during his time at Palmeiras but were unable to compete financially when Chelsea secured his signature for more than €60 million.
His current situation in London could now give Barcelona a reason to reconsider their interest ahead of the January transfer window.
Estevao’s dribbling, creativity in tight spaces and ability to operate between the lines are qualities that could suit Barcelona’s attacking style.
However, there is no confirmed negotiation between Barcelona and Chelsea, and it remains unclear whether the Premier League club would consider allowing the teenager to leave.
A temporary move could become an option if Chelsea are open to letting him gain more regular playing time elsewhere.
For now, Barcelona are reportedly keeping a close watch on developments as Estevao’s future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain.
