According to a report by Madrid Universal on Friday October 23, 2026, Real Madrid legend Guti has predicted a high-scoring encounter against Barcelona, backing his former club to secure a 4-2 victory in Sunday's El Clasico at the Camp Nou.
The highly anticipated clash on October 25 will see the Spanish giants battle for crucial points in La Liga, with Barcelona hoping to extend their advantage at the top of the table.
Guti made his prediction during an interview with SPORT, admitting that he expects an entertaining contest featuring plenty of goals.
"I imagine a very entertaining match full of goals. I'd be very happy if Real Madrid wins, so I'll predict they'll win 4-2," he said.
However, the former Madrid midfielder acknowledged that Jose Mourinho's team face a difficult challenge against Barcelona, who have made an impressive start to their league campaign.
"But the truth is, I see the match as extremely tough for them, and that Barcelona has a big chance of securing the victory," Guti added.
Barcelona have won all nine of their La Liga matches so far and currently hold a six-point lead over Real Madrid, who sit third in the standings with 21 points.
Despite the gap between the teams, Madrid will head into the encounter in encouraging form after recording four consecutive victories across competitions.
Mourinho's side recently defeated RB Leipzig 4-1 in the Champions League and have scored four goals in each of their last three matches, underlining their attacking threat ahead of the trip to Catalonia.
Barcelona, meanwhile, suffered a 4-2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in their previous outing in Europe. The Catalans twice fought back through goals from Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal but ultimately failed to prevent the French champions from claiming victory.
Guti's prediction suggests that he expects both sides to find the net, although Barcelona's home advantage and strong domestic record could make the contest difficult for the visitors.
The former Real Madrid star also shared his thoughts on the 2026 Ballon d'Or race, which will be decided shortly before El Clasico.
Guti admitted that he would like Kylian Mbappe to win the prestigious award but believes Barcelona youngster Yamal, Rodri and Harry Kane also have a chance.
"I'd love for Mbappe to win it, but anything can happen; I think it's very open. Mbappe, Lamine, Rodri, or even Harry Kane have a chance," he said.
He added that both Mbappe and Yamal would be worthy winners, describing the race as particularly open.
