Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring Monaco striker Paris Brunner after the 20-year-old forward made an impressive start to the 2026/27 season.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on Thursday, 29 October 2026, the Premier League clubs are among several European sides tracking Brunner following his emergence as one of the promising young forwards in Ligue 1.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly interested in the German striker, whose recent performances have attracted growing attention ahead of a potential move in 2027.
Brunner joined Monaco from Borussia Dortmund in 2024 for around €4 million after previously being regarded as one of Germany's brightest young talents. However, his development in France took time before he began demonstrating his potential this season.
The forward has scored eight goals in 10 appearances across competitions, establishing himself as an important attacking option for Monaco.
His progress has also affected Folarin Balogun's position in the team. Balogun has struggled to regain his place following his return from a knee injury sustained while representing the United States at the World Cup.
Brunner's performances compare favourably with those of other young attackers across Europe's five major leagues.
Among players aged 20 or younger, only Barcelona's Lamine Yamal has scored more top-flight goals than the German, according to the report's statistics.
Brunner's six league appearances have produced four goals, placing him alongside other emerging talents, including Alphadjo Cisse, while Yamal leads the ranking with eight goals.
Beyond his finishing ability, Brunner has demonstrated versatility in front of goal, combining intelligent movement inside the penalty area with the capacity to create scoring opportunities through individual skill.
However, his past disciplinary issues could remain a consideration for clubs interested in securing his services.
Borussia Dortmund previously suspended the youngster over behavioural concerns, announcing at the time: "Borussia Dortmund have suspended Paris Brunner. The youth player will not participate in BVB duties until further notice."
Brunner believes he has made progress in addressing those concerns and improving his overall game. "I've worked a lot on myself. Last year I didn't play much, so I had plenty of time to develop mentally and improve individually on the pitch.
"I try to draw on that every day and use it as motivation to perform at my best. My team-mates are a huge help! Players like Eric Dier and Denis Zakaria give me advice every day in training."
