According to Daily post, Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk during the January transfer window as the Turkish champions look to strengthen their squad.
According to Turkish football analyst Zeki Uzundurukan, the club's management is considering moves for the two players to address weaknesses in the team ahead of the second half of the season.
Uzundurukan disclosed the reported transfer plans while speaking on the Transfer TV YouTube channel, claiming that Galatasaray have not abandoned their pursuit of Camavinga.
The French midfielder, who plays for Real Madrid, is said to remain a target for the Turkish side, with the club reportedly planning to make another approach when the January transfer window opens.
"Galatasaray hasn't given up on Camavinga. They will make another inquiry in January. They want to complete this transfer," Uzundurukan said.
Camavinga's reported inclusion on Galatasaray's transfer list suggests that the club are keen to explore the possibility of bringing the midfielder to Turkey.
However, any potential deal would depend on negotiations with Real Madrid and the Spanish club's willingness to consider an offer for the player.
Galatasaray are also reportedly interested in Liverpool captain Van Dijk, with Uzundurukan claiming that club president Dursun Özbek admires the Dutch defender and is determined to pursue his signature.
The analyst said the defender had returned to the club's radar following concerns about Galatasaray's defensive performances.
"Van Dijk is a player that Dursun Özbek greatly admires and is insistent on signing. He has come back into the spotlight after Galatasaray's defensive problems," he stated.
Van Dijk has established himself as a key figure at Liverpool, where his experience and leadership have made him an important part of the club's defence.
A potential move for the Netherlands international would therefore represent a significant transfer ambition for Galatasaray, although the club would need to reach an agreement with Liverpool before any deal could materialise.
Uzundurukan added that discussions over the reported pursuit of Van Dijk were expected to resume in January, when Galatasaray could explore the financial requirements of a possible transfer.
He also claimed that the Turkish club were prepared to offer the defender an annual salary of approximately €15 million as part of their efforts to secure his services.
"The process will resume in January. Galatasaray is prepared to pay around 15 million Euros per year," Uzundurukan said.
The reported interest in Camavinga and Van Dijk indicates that Galatasaray are considering additions in both midfield and defence as they seek to improve their options.
However, the claims remain reports from the Turkish analyst, and no completed transfers or official agreements involving the two players were announced in the report.
Galatasaray's January plans will become clearer as the transfer window approaches, with negotiations and decisions by Real Madrid and Liverpool likely to determine whether either target could move to Turkey.
