2026 Ballon D'Or Final Top 10 Revealed

According to a report by Fabrizio on Monday, October 26, 2026, the organisers of the 2026 Ballon d'Or have officially confirmed the ten players competing for the prestigious individual award, with several of football's biggest stars remaining in contention for the ultimate prize.

The announcement comes ahead of the final presentation at the London Palladium in England, where the world's leading footballers are gathering for the 70th edition of the prestigious ceremony.

The ten remaining candidates include Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal, Lionel Messi, Rodri, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Michael Olise, Ousmane Dembele, Erling Haaland and Fabian Ruiz.

However, the organisers have clarified that the names are not arranged according to their final positions. The official ranking from tenth place to first place will be disclosed during the ceremony.

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe is among the leading contenders following an impressive campaign in which he demonstrated his remarkable goalscoring ability across domestic and international competitions.

Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal is another strong candidate after establishing himself as one of the most exciting players in world football. His performances for Barcelona and Spain have strengthened his chances of claiming the prestigious honour.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane also remains firmly in contention following another outstanding goalscoring campaign, while Manchester City forward Erling Haaland is hoping his performances will be enough to secure the award.

Eight-time winner Lionel Messi has also reached the final ten, highlighting his continued presence among football's most celebrated players.

Meanwhile, defending champion Ousmane Dembele is seeking another triumph after previously winning the 2025 edition.

The remaining candidates, including Rodri, Fabian Ruiz, Michael Olise and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, have also earned recognition for their contributions during the assessment period.

Several notable footballers have already been eliminated from contention after the organisers announced their positions outside the top ten.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham finished eleventh, narrowly missing the final group, while Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi occupied twelfth position.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi finished thirteenth, followed by Vitinha in fourteenth and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice in fifteenth.

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior was placed seventeenth, while Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes finished twenty-seventh in the voting.

The official Ballon d'Or ranking is determined by votes from an international panel of journalists, who assess players based on their performances, achievements and conduct throughout the evaluation period.

With the final ten candidates now confirmed, attention has shifted towards the announcement of the winner.

Kane, Mbappe and Yamal are widely regarded as serious contenders, although the presence of Messi, Dembele and Haaland makes the competition particularly interesting.

Football supporters around the world are now waiting to discover which player will emerge victorious and claim the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
