Real Madrid have received a double boost ahead of their La Liga meeting with Valencia, with Aurelien Tchouameni and Arda Guler returning to the squad after missing Wednesday’s Champions League clash against AEK Athens.
According to a report by Madrid Universal on Friday, November 6, 2026, manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed his selection for Saturday’s trip to Mestalla, which represents Real Madrid’s final fixture before the season’s second international break.
Tchouameni’s availability had initially been uncertain after the French midfielder missed Thursday’s group training session, raising concerns about his fitness ahead of the encounter.
However, the 26-year-old returned to normal training on Friday and has been declared available for selection. Guler has also recovered sufficiently to make the squad, providing Mourinho with additional options in midfield.
Meanwhile, Vinicius Junior will miss the encounter as he prepares to serve the final match of his four-game domestic suspension. The Brazilian forward was also absent from Friday’s training session after travelling to Dubai for commercial commitments.
Raul Asencio and Rodrygo are other notable absentees, with both players continuing their recovery from respective injuries.
Ferland Mendy has also been ruled out as he continues working towards regaining full fitness before returning to competitive action for the Spanish giants.
However, young midfielder Thiago Pitarch has retained his place in Mourinho’s first-team squad. The youngster continues to wait for an opportunity to make his senior debut under the Portuguese tactician.
His inclusion suggests that Mourinho remains interested in keeping the promising midfielder involved in first-team activities, although he is yet to feature in a competitive match under the manager.
Real Madrid will therefore travel to Valencia with some important players unavailable, but the returns of Tchouameni and Guler provide a welcome boost as Los Blancos prepare for a challenging encounter at Mestalla before the international break.
