Arsenal's next five fixtures compared to Man City after huge Premier League title race boost

According to a report by Football London on Monday, November 2, 2026, Arsenal have strengthened their position in the Premier League title race after opening up a three-point lead over Manchester City with a crucial 1-0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta’s men secured all three points through Kai Havertz’s first-half goal, ending Arsenal’s 14-year wait for a Premier League victory at the famous stadium.

The victory proved even more valuable following Manchester City’s second consecutive league defeat, with Pep Guardiola’s side suffering a disappointing loss at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

City’s recent struggles have presented Arsenal with an opportunity to create some breathing space at the top of the table as the season approaches another important phase.

Arteta expressed his satisfaction after the Liverpool victory, describing the result as a special achievement for everyone connected with Arsenal.

“So happy, so proud, full of energy. What can I say - it’s a proud moment for everybody attached with the football club,” the Spaniard said.

The Arsenal manager also commended his players for their preparation, commitment and response following their previous defeat against Fleetwood.

With the international break approaching, Arsenal will now focus on a demanding run of Premier League fixtures that includes encounters against Newcastle United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners will begin this challenging period with a home match against newly promoted Hull City on November 7 before travelling to St James’ Park to face Newcastle United on November 21.

However, one of their most important assignments will arrive on November 29 when Manchester City visit the Emirates Stadium for a potentially decisive encounter in the title race.

Arteta’s side will subsequently travel to Brentford on December 2 before making the short trip to face Tottenham in the north London derby on December 6.

Arsenal’s next five Premier League fixtures:

Meanwhile, Manchester City also face a difficult schedule as Guardiola looks to revive his team’s form and prevent Arsenal from extending their advantage.

City will travel to Nottingham Forest on November 7 before welcoming Fulham to the Etihad Stadium on November 21.

Their attention will then turn to the crucial meeting with Arsenal on November 29, followed by a home fixture against Leeds United on December 2.

Guardiola’s men will conclude this particular run of matches with an away trip to Brentford on December 5.

Manchester City’s next five Premier League fixtures:

Beyond their domestic commitments, both clubs must also navigate a demanding Champions League schedule, making squad rotation and player fitness particularly important.

Arsenal are scheduled to face Slavia Praha on November 4, Borussia Dortmund on November 24 and Real Madrid on December 9.

Manchester City, meanwhile, will take on RB Leipzig on November 4, Napoli on November 24 and Barcelona on December 8.

These European assignments could place additional demands on both squads as Arteta and Guardiola attempt to balance their Champions League ambitions with the Premier League title challenge.

Arsenal currently hold the upper hand after taking advantage of City’s recent setbacks. However, their upcoming matches against Newcastle, Manchester City and Tottenham could have a significant influence on their title ambitions.

In particular, the November 29 showdown at the Emirates could become a defining moment in the season. Another victory over Guardiola’s side would give Arsenal an opportunity to increase their advantage and strengthen their hopes of retaining the Premier League title.
