According to a post by Fabrizio Romano on X on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister expressed confidence in his team’s ability to defeat Arsenal.

The Argentine midfielder made the statement while discussing the challenge of facing the Premier League side. He believes Liverpool have the quality required to overcome Arsenal, despite the difficulty of the contest.

“If there is a team that can win against Arsenal, I think it's us,” Mac Allister said.

His comments reflect Liverpool’s belief in their ability to compete against one of the teams setting the standard in the Premier League.

The midfielder’s statement also underlines the confidence within the squad ahead of the meeting.

Arsenal’s performances have made them a difficult opponent for teams across the league.

However, Mac Allister believes Liverpool possess the players and collective quality needed to challenge them.

The midfielder’s confidence is also significant because matches between leading Premier League sides often demand discipline, concentration and effective use of opportunities. Liverpool will need to translate that belief into their performance on the pitch.

Mac Allister has become an important part of Liverpool’s midfield, contributing through his passing, work rate and ability to help the team control matches.

His assessment therefore offers an indication of the confidence he has in the squad.

Liverpool’s meeting with Arsenal is among the notable fixtures on the Premier League calendar.

Both clubs have ambitions of competing at the top end of the table, making their encounters important tests of their title credentials.

Mac Allister’s message is clear: Liverpool do not consider Arsenal unbeatable. He believes his side has what it takes to secure a victory against them, although the outcome will ultimately depend on what happens during the match.
