According to a report by Barca Universal on Monday November 2, 2026, Barcelona are reportedly open to selling Jules Kounde to generate funds for new signings, with Chelsea exploring a possible move for the defender and Tottenham's Pedro Porro emerging as a potential replacement.
Bayern Munich have also expressed interest in the Frenchman, whose future at Camp Nou has become increasingly uncertain.
According to SPORT, Chelsea have already made enquiries and are assessing the financial conditions required to complete a deal. However, their interest has not yet developed into a formal offer, and any transfer would depend on the fee Barcelona demand.
Kounde's position has become less secure following changes to the club's defensive options. Eric Garcia has increasingly been used at right-back, while academy youngster Xavi Espart is also competing for opportunities. Barcelona's interest in other defenders has added further uncertainty.
The 27-year-old has started only five matches in all competitions this season and is currently sidelined with an injury. Although his contract runs until 2030, his reduced role has attracted attention from several major European clubs.
Barcelona could view his departure as an opportunity to raise money for other priorities, particularly the signing of a new centre-back. Nevertheless, Kounde has not been ruled out of the club's plans, and he could still fight his way back into the starting lineup.
If the Frenchman leaves, Pedro Porro is reportedly among the candidates Barcelona could consider. The Tottenham defender recently extended his contract until 2031, but has previously spoken about wanting to return to Spanish football.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have both made enquiries about Porro, while president Joan Laporta is said to admire him. However, Tottenham are expected to demand more than €60 million for the 27-year-old, potentially making a deal difficult for Barcelona.
