Raphinha Names Gabriel Jesus As Barcelona's Best Player in One Area

According to a report by Football London on Thursday November 5, 2026, Gabriel Jesus appears to have settled comfortably at Barcelona following his departure from Arsenal, with the Brazilian striker already earning recognition from one of the Spanish club's biggest stars.

The 29-year-old completed an £8.6million move to the Catalan giants towards the end of the summer transfer window, four years after Arsenal signed him from Manchester City for approximately £45million.

His departure from the Emirates Stadium was reportedly uncomfortable, with Jesus claiming he was unexpectedly separated from the first team during training before leaving. Mikel Arteta admitted he was surprised by the situation.

However, just two months after arriving in Spain, Jesus has already impressed his new teammates, particularly Brazilian international Raphinha.

During a TikTok challenge for Movistar Plus Deportes, Raphinha was asked to select his ideal Barcelona player based on different footballing qualities. When choosing the strongest header of the ball, he selected Gabriel Jesus.

The recognition represents another positive development for the former Arsenal forward, who has also received encouraging comments from manager Hansi Flick.

Last month, Flick praised Jesus for his improvement and adaptation to Barcelona's playing style, while expressing amazement at how cheaply the club managed to secure his services.

Jesus has also made an encouraging start statistically, scoring four goals in 10 appearances despite receiving only two starting opportunities. His Champions League debut against Feyenoord was particularly memorable.

Meanwhile, Barcelona remain among the leading contenders for this season's Champions League after recovering from their 4-2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain with an impressive 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Raphinha scored twice in that encounter, while Lamine Yamal contributed the remaining goal. Barcelona currently occupy fifth position in the league-phase standings.

Arsenal, meanwhile, remain among the competition's strongest sides, making a potential meeting between Jesus and his former club an exciting possibility if both teams progress further.

Such an encounter would give the Brazilian an opportunity to face his former teammates, with Arsenal supporters potentially giving him a warm reception, although that could change if he finds the net against them.
