According to a report by Barca Universal on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Barcelona are expecting a record-breaking day of merchandise sales when they host Real Madrid in Sunday’s El Clasico, with Lamine Yamal reportedly emerging as the leading player in shirt sales.
The Catalan club are hoping revenue from their official store at the Spotify Camp Nou will surpass the existing single-day record of around €750,000. The previous milestone was achieved during last season’s clash against Real Madrid, when Barcelona wore a special-edition shirt created in collaboration with singer Olivia Rodrigo through their partnership with Spotify.
However, the club are expecting even greater sales for Sunday’s encounter, with Barcelona’s strong popularity and the launch of an exclusive matchday collection likely to generate considerable interest among supporters.
Barcelona are also anticipating significant financial returns from the fixture, with ticket revenue expected to exceed the €16.4 million recorded during last season’s corresponding match. The club now hope merchandise sales will provide another commercial milestone.
Recent sales figures have further boosted their optimism. According to the report, Barcelona’s official store generated more than €600,000 during their recent La Liga match against Getafe, highlighting the continued demand for the club’s merchandise.
A special collection carrying the GOLF branding, associated with American rapper and designer Tyler, The Creator, has also added to the attraction. The collaboration, chosen by Spotify, is expected to increase interest in Barcelona’s El Clasico merchandise.
Meanwhile, Yamal remains Barcelona’s most popular player in terms of shirt sales, reportedly enjoying a substantial lead over his teammates.
Pedri and club captain Raphinha are also among the players whose shirts are highly sought after by supporters, while young defender Pau Cubarsí continues to attract significant demand.
Among Barcelona’s recent signings, Rodri is reportedly the biggest name in shirt sales. Fermín López has also witnessed growing demand, bringing him closer to Gavi in terms of popularity among fans.
Former striker Robert Lewandowski continues to receive shirt requests, particularly from supporters in Poland, despite reports that he moved to Chicago Fire during the summer.
These figures highlight how Yamal’s influence goes beyond his performances on the pitch. His increasing popularity has established him as one of Barcelona’s most valuable commercial assets, with his shirt expected to be among the most popular choices as supporters prepare for Sunday’s highly anticipated El Clasico.
