CAF has confirmed Egypt as the host for this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League. The tournament is slated to take place from 1st to 15th November.
“The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) has confirmed that Egypt will host the CAF Women’s Champions League Final Competition for the second successive year,” reads a message on the CAF website.
Last year, Egypt hosted the tournament that was eventually won by Morocco’s AS FAR. This will be the third time that the North African country is hosting the Championship, having hosted the inaugural one in 2021.
The tournament brings together 8 regional Champions from the 8 zones that make up CAF, and already, six have qualified.
Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Kawempe Muslim (Uganda), Lekie FF (Cameroon), USFAS (Mali), FUS Rabat (Morocco) and defending champions FAR Rabat (Morocco) have already qualified.
The final two spots will go to the representative from the WAFU Zone B region (yet to be determined) and the club representing the Host Nation, Egypt.
