Harry Redknapp believes Frank Lampard could soon take over as England manager and replace Thomas Tuchel.

The 79-year-old former manager says Lampard has the experience and ability required to lead the national team, having reached a high level during his playing career with Chelsea.

Redknapp also believes England should be managed by an English coach. He argued that many coaches from the country are not given enough opportunities to take charge of clubs at the highest level.

Lampard is currently in charge of Coventry, a more modest club compared with the teams he managed earlier in his career. Redknapp nevertheless considers him a potential future candidate for the England job.
