CAF Cup: Rangers, El-Kanemi On The March Again

The second preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup return this weekend with the remaining two representatives from Nigeria, Enugu Rangers and El-Kanemi Warriors in action on Sunday.

Enugu Rangers will play MC Alger at home on Sunday at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, their adopted home for a place in the group stage of the CAF Champions League while Federation Cup winner, El-Kanemi, will hope to maintain their run in the Confederation Cup against Moroccan side, Raja Club Athletic, at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State.

Enugu Rangers reached this round after defeating AS Sobemap of Benin Republic 5–4 on penalties following a draw on aggregates.

For El-Kanemi Warriors, despite losing the second leg 1-0 against UDIB of Guinea-Bissau, their 3-0 first leg win was good enough to secure a 3-1 aggregates win and a place in the second preliminary round.

The second leg will take place on October 23 in Algeria and Morocco respectively.
