A former international, Abiodun Obafemi, has said the Super Eagles Manager, Eric Chelle, has enough quality talents to rebuild the senior national football team.
Obafemi, speaking on Friday noted that there were talents all over the country good enough to reshape the Eagles.
The former Eagles attacker was speaking on a backdrop of the recent poor recent of the Eagles especially the 3-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau in a recent Nations Cup Qualifier.
He said: “ We have a lot of talents and I believe that wherever we are, we won’t invite players that are not doing well in their teams.
Even the players in the domestic league are good enough to make the team better. There are good players scattered all over the country.
“Within and outside the country, I believe any team will do well chosen with the quality of players we have. Coach Chelle will have to be deliberate in getting the best in the domestic league and other parts to ensure we get the best to get results and take the forward.”
The average age of the Super Eagles is another concern but Obafemi believes all could be sorted with ease if Chelle and his technical crew work hard for it.
“There must be deliberate effort to get these players on board to assist and make the Eagles stronger. The talents are everywhere, we have to intentionally go for them to get results,” Obafemi added.
The Super eagles will take on Tanzania home and away in November in continuation of the AFCON Qualifying series.
