Now that the 2026-27 NBA season has begun, the NBA Cup is exactly one week away. In season tournament games will begin Friday, Oct. 30, as teams try to position themselves to advance from Group Play. Prior to the first night of Group Play, the NBA released a commercial promoting the tournament, which included two former Duke Blue Devils.

While an offseason Amazon Prime commercial included Jayson Tatum and Paolo Banchero, this one included a couple of Duke stars from the Southeast. Featured in the commercial is Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson and Charlotte Hornets forward Kon Knueppel. In the commercial, the two returned to a college campus, racing each other to a washing machine.

Other NBA players to feature in the commercial were Stephon Castle, Damian Lillard, Chet Holmgren, Jaren Jackson Jr., Austin Reaves and Evan Mobley. Hall of Famers like Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash were also included.
