Another win for Barça Women, and another win for Pere Romeu... but this was no ordinary victory. With the win in Denmark against Køge, the Barça coach has now celebrated 100 victories. And in just 109 games, an impressive record.
From 8 September 2024, when he made his debut with a win against Deportivo at Riazor, to 29 October 2026, just over two years have passed. Between those two dates, the victories have kept coming, bringing plenty of joy and ultimately a host of trophies too.
Some particularly memorable wins include his first Clásico, a 4-0 triumph at the Di Stéfano that marked his 12th victory, and a superb 4-1 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, his 39th. And, of course, there have been the Copa del Rey finals, the Spanish Super Cups... and last season's Champions League final against OL Lyonnes.
Now, in Copenhagen, he has celebrated his 21st Champions League victory and his 100th win in charge of Barça, with the same ambition as ever. The ambition of the best coach in the world, as he was recognised at Monday's Ballon d'Or ceremony.
