Marion Serenge

Kenyan midfielder Marion Serenge wants St. Noa Girls Zana FC to build on their first victory of the season after scoring twice in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Jinja United WFC in the 2026/27 FUFA Women Super League.

St. Noa produced their best performance of the campaign at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, on October 18, with Serenge’s brace and a goal from Giovanna Aketowanga sealing a comfortable victory.

Serenge was delighted with the result, saying it had given the team fresh motivation to work harder and push for greater success.

“For me, I’m so happy since it’s our first win at Hope. I’m so proud to achieve this win. It motivates me to work extra hard so that we can achieve more as a team,” she said.

The Kenyan international also thanked the fans for standing by her and the team, urging them to keep believing as the season progresses.

“To all our fans who have always believed in me, continue supporting us and then we shall make it,” she added.

The victory was St. Noa’s biggest of the season and kept them unbeaten after three matches. They are now second in the standings, making an encouraging start to their campaign.

Faridah Namirimu was named Player of the Match for her contribution to the victory.

Jinja United, meanwhile, are struggling in the top flight. The newcomers have lost all three of their opening matches, with Sunday’s defeat marking their second 3-0 loss of the campaign. They remain bottom of the table.

They will hope to turn their fortunes around when they visit KCCA Women FC on Thursday, October 22.

St. Noa will also be visiting She Maroons FC on Saturday, October 24. The match will be played at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, where St. Noa will be the visitors this time.
