The sixteen teams that have qualified for the 2026/27 TotalEnergies Caf Champions League group stages are now focusing attention to the Wednesday draw in Cairo.

This campaign has already produced surprises with defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns eliminated by surprise package Willet of Angola.

There is also no place for record winners Al Ahly of Egypt who are in the Caf Confederation Cup after finishing third in their domestic league last season.

Tunisia (Club Africaine & Esperance), Egypt (Zamalek & Pyramids), Morocco (RS Berkane & MAS de Fes) and Tanzania (Young Africans & Simba) are the only nations with two representative clubs in the competition.

There will be significant rewards at stake, with the eventual winners of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2026/27 set to receive a record USD 6 million.

The Group Stage will feature four groups of four teams, with the top two clubs in each group advancing to the quarter-finals.
