SEDIBENG.- Vaal duo Tshepang Moremi and Boitumelo Radiopane were among the goalscorers as Orlando Pirates beat TS Galaxy 3-0 in a midweek Premiership League fixture on Tuesday (October 13).

It was a massive win for Pirates, especially after their 2-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 final.

This was a great win for Pirates

Tshepang and Radiopane’s performance ensured that Pirates walked away with maximum points to keep their league challenge alive and put pressure on Sundowns at the top of the log. This was a great win for Pirates after their MTN8 final disappointment. Radiopane opened the account in the 18th minute, giving Pirates the lead, and Moremi doubled it in the 50th minute.

Simphiwe Masilela put the final nail in the coffin in the 76th minute, scoring the third goal.

The local young stars put up a brave fight, helping Pirates redeem themselves with a big win.

It is expected that they will once again lead Pirates in their second qualifying round against African Stars on Saturday (October 17).

This will be before they face Kaizer Chiefs in the Premiership League derby at FNB Stadium on October 31.  This derby divides the country into two parts whenever these two South African soccer giants meet, whether in a friendly or official game.

No doubt, Moremi and Radiopane will feature in this derby if their current performance is anything to go by.
