The match will feature Team Hitman competing against Team Hatton as a heartfelt tribute to Ricky, who tragically passed away last year at the age of 46.

HITMAN’S LEGACY

Size of Ricky Hatton’s estate finally disclosed as family awaits answers

“Witnessing so many remarkable figures from both entertainment and sports unite in his memory, while also raising funds to aid those in need, would have deeply touched my dad.

“I am confident he will be watching over us.”

Manchester City remarked: “Game4Ricky will gather icons from the realms of sport and entertainment to commemorate Ricky’s life and contributions.”

Tickets are available starting at £10, with all proceeds directed towards mental health initiatives.

Hatton was a lifelong fan of Manchester City, frequently donning blue shorts adorned with the club’s crest during his fights, and famously entered the ring to the club’s anthem, ‘Blue Moon’, throughout his boxing career.

After his passing, players observed a moment of applause during a Manchester derby match.
