New Zealand scored seven tries in Sydney to beat Australia 43–21 on 17 October and complete a 2–0 Bledisloe Cup series victory.
New Zealand completed a 2–0 Bledisloe Cup series win with a 43–21 victory over Australia at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Saturday, 17 October.
The All Blacks scored seven tries to three, building a 36–7 half-time lead that left the Wallabies with too much ground to recover. Beauden Barrett and Josh Moorby each crossed twice, while Peter Lakai, Rieko Ioane and Wallace Sititi added a try apiece. Damian McKenzie kicked four conversions.
According to Rugby Australia’s match report, New Zealand moved 22–0 ahead before Jeremy Williams scored Australia’s first try. Sititi then crossed and Barrett intercepted to complete his double before the interval.
Moorby’s second try early in the second half, converted by McKenzie, extended the lead to 43–7. Australia responded through Tom Wright and replacement Filipo Daugunu, but those scores reduced the deficit without threatening the result.
Ryan Lonergan converted two of the Wallabies’ tries and Declan Meredith added the other conversion. Lakai was named player of the match, while the result marked a 13th consecutive New Zealand victory over Australia.
The trophy had already been secured by the All Blacks after their 50–19 victory at Eden Park on 10 October. That opening win ensured New Zealand would keep the Bledisloe Cup for a 24th successive year; the Sydney result completed the series sweep.
For Australia, defeat came in their final home Test of 2026 and on Lukhan Salakaia-Loto’s 50th international appearance. The lock made his Test debut against South Africa in the 27–27 draw in Bloemfontein in 2017.
