Throughout his career at the North London club, he made 146 league appearances before leaving in 1981.
Spurs shared the announcement in a statement on Sunday.
The club expressed their sorrow by saying: “We are profoundly saddened to share the news of the passing of our former goalkeeper Barry Daines, aged 75.
“Our thoughts and love go out to Barry’s family and friends during this challenging time. Rest in peace, Barry.”

Daines spent a significant part of his 12 years with Spurs as the understudy to the legendary Pat Jennings, known for his time at both Spurs and Northern Ireland.
The iconic Jennings joined the club from Watford in 1964 and left for rivals Arsenal in 1977.
Following Jennings’ departure, Daines became the starting goalkeeper and played in all 42 league matches the season after Jennings’ exit.
Upon leaving the club in 1981, he was honored with a testimonial and later spent two years playing in Hong Kong.
Micky Hazard, a former teammate, was among those who paid tribute to Daines on social media.
Hazard stated: “Very saddened to hear of the lovely Barry Daines’ passing; my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
“Rest in peace, Barry, and may you continue shot-stopping in the sky.”
A Spurs fan commented: “That’s really sad. He was the goalkeeper when I first started supporting Spurs as a kid in the 70s.
“He had a tough job following the great Pat Jennings. Sending thoughts to his loved ones.”
Another affected supporter shared: “Barry was my first Spurs keeper as a child, so he will always hold a special place in my heart; RIP Barry!”
