Arsenal's next five fixtures compared to Man City after Premier League title race boost
Arsenal players celebrate

Arsenal's almost perfect form continued in the Premier League on Sunday evening, as Mikel Arteta'sGunners fought to a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

The Tricky Trees held their own for the majority of the encounter at the City Ground, limiting the visitors to just one shot on target in total.

Unfortunately for the hosts, Arsenal were clinical in that attempt, Noni Madueke finding the back of Matz Sels' net with a curled effort from just inside the area - a deflection off Jair Cunha's thigh heavily contributing.

The win keeps the Gunners in second, trailing league leaders Manchester City by just three points, as Enzo Maresca continues to command nothing short of excellence in the north west.

City are unbeaten on domestic soil this season, and continued in their own fantastic vein of form with a 3-2 win over Ipswich Town at home on Saturday.

It means that Arteta and Arsenal will have to play the waiting game to potentially leapfrog their most-serious Premier League rivals, given the two will not cross paths at the Emirates Stadium until late November.

That is, unless another top flight team can stop City in their tracks in the coming weeks to alter the outlook of the division and boost the Gunners' chances of defending the title they clinched in May.
