Andy Farrell is preparing to name his Ireland squad for the November stages of the Nations Championship, with three home games and a trip to London on the horizon.
Ireland will welcome Argentina, Fiji and South Africa to the Aviva Stadium as they look to build on two wins from their opening three games during the summer.
The squad for the upcoming fixtures will be announced on Wednesday, October 21.
Argentina are first up on Friday, November 6, with kick-off at 8.10pm, followed by Fiji on Saturday, November 14, also at 8.10pm.
Ireland then welcome world champions South Africa to Dublin on Saturday, November 21, with that game kicking off at 4.40pm.
Farrell’s men opened their campaign with a narrow 33-31 victory over Australia in Sydney before beating Japan 36-20 in Newcastle.
However, their unbeaten start ended at Eden Park, where New Zealand claimed a 40-21 victory. Those results carry into November, with Ireland’s finishing position in the Northern Hemisphere table determining their opponents at the finals weekend.
The tournament concludes at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, across November 27-29, with each northern side facing the southern team occupying the corresponding position in their table.
Farrell will have to plan without captain Caelan Doris, whose recovery from foot and knee surgery has been delayed by a knee infection. The Leinster back-row is not expected to return until the new year.
Jack Crowley will also be unavailable, with the Munster out-half continuing his recovery from a lower-limb vascular issue that has kept him sidelined since April.
There are further injury concerns ahead of Wednesday’s announcement. Jack Boyle remains sidelined with an Achilles injury, while Paddy McCarthy has been recovering from a foot problem. Jordan Larmour and Harry Byrne were also still sidelined.
Jack Conan is a fresh concern after suffering a shoulder injury while scoring against Clermont on Saturday. His availability remains uncertain, adding another potential headache in the back row with Doris already absent.
