Dejan Kulusevski has confirmed that he is about to finally make his Tottenham return after missing more than 500 days of action.

Tottenham fans have grown increasingly frustrated with Kulusevski’s lengthy rehabilitation, with the Swede suffering several setbacks on his road back due to the complicated nature of the knee injury.

In total, the 26-year-old has spent more than 500 days out of action, having last played before the 2025 Europa League final, which seems a lifetime ago.

However, Kulusevski has made huge strides over the last month, and he is now finally on the eve of his long-awaited return to the pitch.

Dejan Kulusevski is ready to play in front of Tottenham fans again

This morning, De Zerbi confirmed that Kulusevski will be named on the bench for Monday’s clash, after the medical department gave the green light for his inclusion.

The Italian shared that the former Juventus man was delighted when he broke the news to him on Saturday night.

The midfielder has now taken to social media to send a typical Kulusevski message, pointing out to fans that he always told them he would be back.

The Sweden international posted a picture of his eyes blacked out to signify tunnel vision on his Instagram stories and added the caption: “And I see you tomorrow. I told you I would be back. Now is the time.”

Did Kulusevski hint that he expects to get minutes?

Kulusevski’s post suggests that he not only expects to be on the bench tomorrow, but also expects to make it onto the pitch.

While that will depend on the state of the game, one would think that De Zerbi would almost certainly bring him on for at least the final few minutes if Spurs have a two-goal cushion or more.

The reception at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is going to be as big as any we have had this season when the Swede finally runs onto the field.
