BAYERN MUNICH prodigy Aleksandar Pavlovic has revealed that he turned down an £85 million bid from Manchester City during the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of the key players for the German champions, demonstrating his talent at a young age.
His consistent appearances for Bayern have caught the attention of numerous elite European clubs.
Pavlovic confirmed that Manchester City was one of these interested parties, with Enzo Maresca’s team launching an £84.6 million proposal for his transfer.
This insight comes from journalist Christian Falk, as reported by CFBayern Insider, revealing that the player was uninterested in leaving for the Premier League challengers.
Pavlovic stated: “First of all, it’s a privilege when a top club like City shows interest. I grew up in Munich, I’ve lived here all my life, and I’ve always played for FC Bayern.

“My family and friends reside here. There’s nothing better for me, which made the decision quite easy.”
It remains unclear what role Pavlovic would have played in City’s midfield strategies had he accepted their offer.
The club signed Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea for a record British transfer fee of £125 million in the summer transfer window.
They later added Morocco’s promising talent Ayyoub Bouaddi for an additional £85 million, as the club aimed to fill the void left by departing Rodri.

The comparable fees suggest that Pavlovic was a preferred option over Bouaddi, who has only played 32 minutes in the league this season.
Bayern Munich is intent on retaining its top talents, having recently secured star striker Harry Kane’s commitment to the club until 2029.
The club is also negotiating a lucrative new deal for Michael Olise in the face of interest from Real Madrid.
