Mamelodi Sundowns are refusing to settle for a single continental triumph, with winger Thapelo Morena expressing confidence that the South African giants can defend their CAF Champions League crown and achieve back-to-back victories.

Morena believes the club possesses the experience, determination and winning mentality required to repeat their success on Africa’s biggest club football stage.

Speaking about their ambitions, the Sundowns winger highlighted the importance of believing in their ability to retain the prestigious title.

"We believe in it, we can [win it back-to-back], we are willing to do it," Morena said.

The winger also pointed to the club’s domestic experience as a major source of confidence, noting that Sundowns have previously navigated the challenges that come with winning a title and maintaining their momentum.

"We have done it at home in the PSL, we have experience of, after winning, what's happening next," he added.

His comments underline the ambition within the Sundowns camp as they look to establish an even stronger legacy in African football.

Having already demonstrated their ability to compete at the highest level, the Brazilians will be determined to translate that confidence into another successful continental campaign.

For Morena and his teammates, the challenge is clear: turn their belief into results and prove that their African dominance can continue.
