Wandile Duba Hat-Trick Fires Kaizer Chiefs Into Carling Knockout Quarter-Finals

Kaizer Chiefs booked their place in the Carling Knockout quarter-finals in emphatic fashion after Wandile Duba scored a second-half hat-trick to inspire a victory over TS Galaxy.

Duba delivered a decisive performance to help Amakhosi make light work of the Rockets and keep their hopes of winning silverware alive.

The Chiefs forward took centre stage after the break, scoring three goals to turn the encounter into a memorable outing for the Soweto giants.

His hat-trick proved to be the difference between the sides, with TS Galaxy unable to contain the Chiefs attack during a difficult second half.

For Duba, the treble represents a significant moment as he continues to push for a more prominent role in the Chiefs setup. Scoring three times in a knockout fixture will also provide a boost to his confidence as the season progresses.

Chiefs went into the match knowing that progression was essential, with the Carling Knockout offering another opportunity to end their wait for major domestic silverware.

The emphatic victory will provide encouragement for the technical team, particularly with Duba showing his ability to deliver when the pressure is high.

Chiefs supporters will also welcome the performance of a forward who has now given the club another reason to believe in its attacking options.

However, the challenge will become tougher in the quarter-finals, where the remaining teams will be determined to move closer to lifting the trophy.

TS Galaxy, meanwhile, will be disappointed with the manner of their elimination. After entering the competition with ambitions of progressing further, they were unable to find a response to Duba's second-half scoring spree.

The result sends Chiefs into the last eight alongside several other PSL sides still competing for the Carling Knockout crown.

With the quarter-final stage approaching, Amakhosi will hope Duba can maintain his scoring form and help the team build on this performance.

For now, the headlines belong to Duba, whose second-half hat-trick secured Chiefs' qualification and gave their Carling Knockout campaign fresh momentum.
