South African forwards Tshegofatso Mabasa and Devin Titus have a new manager after Moroccan champions MAS Fes appointed Amine El Karma as head coach, less than 24 hours after parting ways with Portuguese coach Rui Almeida.

The club confirmed El Karma's appointment on Thursday, November 5, 2026, handing the Moroccan tactician a two-year contract as they look to improve their performances in domestic and continental competitions.

His arrival followed the departure of Almeida by mutual consent after a disappointing start to the campaign. The Portuguese coach managed six league matches, recording two victories, two draws and two defeats.

MAS Fes currently have eight points from six matches and sit seventh in the Botola Pro standings. Their latest setback was a 1-0 defeat against Wydad de Témara, which increased pressure on the coaching department.

El Karma arrives with experience in Moroccan football, having won the prestigious Throne Cup with Renaissance Berkane in the 2021/22 season and Olympique de Safi in 2024/25.

He now faces the challenge of restoring consistency at MAS Fes while managing a squad expected to compete for domestic honours and make an impact in the CAF Champions League.

The appointment is particularly significant for Mabasa and Titus, who joined the Moroccan club from South African side Stellenbosch FC ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Mabasa will be hoping to continue contributing goals, while Titus will look to maintain his impressive attacking performances under the new manager.

MAS Fes are also preparing for the CAF Champions League group stage, where they will face Pyramids FC, Al Hilal and Horoya AC in Group D.

El Karma's immediate task will be to settle into his new position quickly and help the club regain momentum.
