Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mfundo Vilakazi has expressed confidence in his team's readiness for their CAF Confederation Cup encounter against Red Arrows, stressing that Amakhosi must approach the contest with determination and respect for their opponents.

The young midfielder believes the South African giants have what it takes to secure another positive result away from home. However, he has made it clear that the team cannot afford to become complacent despite their previous success at the same venue.

Kaizer Chiefs are determined to build on their earlier victory and maintain their competitive momentum as they continue their continental campaign. Facing Red Arrows presents another important test for the Soweto-based club, with the players expected to demonstrate discipline, concentration and consistency throughout the match.

Vilakazi's comments reflect the confidence within the Chiefs camp ahead of the encounter. The midfielder understands the importance of approaching the fixture with the right mentality, particularly when playing away from home, where opponents often enjoy strong support from their fans.

Speaking through the club's official website, Vilakazi recalled their previous success at the venue and challenged his teammates to reproduce that performance.

“Last time we played here, we won, so we must do the same again,” Vilakazi said via the club’s website.

His statement highlights Kaizer Chiefs' ambition to repeat their earlier achievement rather than rely solely on past results. Although the previous victory offers encouragement, the team will still need to work hard to overcome Red Arrows, who will be eager to make the most of their home advantage.

The encounter is expected to demand a strong collective performance from Amakhosi, with the players needing to remain focused from the opening whistle until the final moments. Avoiding unnecessary mistakes and taking advantage of scoring opportunities could prove decisive in determining the outcome.

For Vilakazi, the immediate objective is clear: Kaizer Chiefs must translate their confidence into another successful performance on the pitch. The midfielder's determination also sends a message that the team is taking the challenge seriously and understands what is required to compete at continental level.

Supporters will now be watching closely to see whether Amakhosi can deliver another crucial away victory against Red Arrows. A positive result would provide a significant boost to their CAF Confederation Cup ambitions and strengthen belief within the squad as the competition progresses.
