In light of recent rumors regarding the attacking midfielder's future with Libyan club Al-Ittihad, Kaizer Chiefs fans have revived their demands for Thembinkosi Lorch to sign with the Soweto giants.Lorch allegedly lost favor with Al-Ittihad coach Faouzi Benzarti after his time with Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns. The news has stoked rumors of a return to South African football, with some Chiefs fans thinking he could give their team the offensive punch they've been missing.

The 32-year-old is still among the most famous attackers to have played in the Premier League. While in South Africa, he became famous for his imaginative play, technical proficiency, superb control of the ball at his feet, and ability to create crucial moments in the final third of games. An appealing option for a team looking to add attacking depth and creativity, he can operate either behind the striker or from wider positions. The Chiefs have been trying to assemble a strong team that can regularly contend for big domestic titles. The club's backers think that by adding Lorch to the roster, they can bolster their offensive department and give the younger players a leg up.Nevertheless, there would be a number of issues with any possible transfer.

If the Chiefs wish to sign Lorch before his contract with Al-Ittihad expires in June 2027, they will likely have to negotiate with the Libyan club.Consideration of his transfer fee, salary demands, and compatibility with the plans of the technical team would also be necessary.Notice that the Chiefs have refrained from announcing or confirming their interest in signing the former Sundowns and Pirates star. At this time, the increasing number of people calling for his arrival is more indicative of the desires of his supporters than of any official transfer news.Lorch may be a name to keep an eye on in the coming transfer windows, though, depending on how things play out in Libya.
