Mamelodi Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe has attracted attention after being spotted celebrating alongside the club’s supporters following the Ladies team’s impressive victory in the Hollywoodbets Super League.

Motsepe was seen among the Yellow Nation faithful as they celebrated another successful outing for Banyana Ba Style. His decision to join the supporters in the stands created a memorable moment, highlighting the strong bond between the club’s leadership and its passionate fan base.

The occasion followed Sundowns Ladies’ commanding 5-0 win over TS Galaxy Queens at Wits Football Stadium on Sunday, October 25. The convincing result further demonstrated the team’s quality and consistency during the 2026 campaign.

Under coach Godfrey Sapula, the Pretoria-based side has continued to dominate the domestic competition, establishing itself as one of the strongest teams in South African women’s football.

According to the available league figures, Sundowns Ladies have accumulated 34 points from 12 matches, recording 11 victories and one draw. Their impressive record has placed them at the top of the Super League standings as they continue their pursuit of another successful season.

While the players and technical team deserved recognition for their performance on the pitch, Motsepe’s presence among the supporters added another dimension to the celebrations. Rather than watching the occasion from a distance, the chairman appeared to share in the excitement with fans who have continued to support the club.

His appearance also comes at a time when the Sundowns family has experienced contrasting fortunes across its football teams.

While the men's side recently suffered disappointment following their elimination from the CAF Champions League against Angolan club Wiliete SC, the Ladies team has continued to deliver positive results and provide supporters with reasons to celebrate.

The women's team's performances have helped maintain the club's competitive reputation, demonstrating the strength of its football programme across different competitions.

With two league matches remaining, Sundowns Ladies will be eager to maintain their impressive form and finish the domestic campaign on a high note. The team will also have its continental ambitions in mind as it looks to build on its success at home.

For the Yellow Nation, Motsepe joining them in celebrating the victory was a welcome sight. His presence reinforced the connection between the club's management and its supporters, while the Ladies' emphatic win provided the perfect occasion for celebration.
