I Can Still Play in the PSL Right Now: Mhlongo Unleashes Massive Truth Bomb Over Mshishi’s Career

In response to the speculation over Themba Zwane's future with Sundowns, Benson Mhlongo—a midfielder for both Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns—has spoken out, saying that only the seasoned playmaker knows if he can still compete at the top level.

Mshishi, whose real name is Zwane, has had a stellar career with Sundowns, becoming one of the club's most important figures. A key character for Bafana Bafana over the years, he is known for his technical skill, imagination, and poise.

Even though Sundowns are still in the hunt for big local and continental titles, speculation has begun over his future with the club. The veteran midfielder's ability to keep up with the expectations of a team with such lofty goals is becoming an increasingly hotly debated topic as battle for spots heats up.

Instead than letting other perspectives dictate when Zwane's career should finish, Mhlongo thinks he should be permitted to gauge his own fitness.

Mshishi is the only one who can tell us when he thinks it's his time. "I could play in the PSL right now, if I can train properly," Mhlongo remarked.

The significance of physical health, self-assurance, and regular training for professional football players is emphasised by his remarks. He argues that a player's ability to compete should not be judged by their age alone, so long as they can still match the technical and physical demands of the game.

Zwane's leadership skills, game knowledge, and ability to impact games with astute passing and movement suggest that his expertise may continue to be useful to Sundowns.

In spite of this, he has to show his preparedness whenever chances come, particularly on a team where many excellent players are vying for few spots.

Mhlongo's statement has also prompted a more general inquiry into the treatment of senior players in South African football.

How far Zwane gets in his time at Sundowns depends on his fitness, performances, and self-evaluation. At this point in time, Mhlongo thinks Mshishi should have the chance to choose his own end date.
