The club has reportedly started making preparations for Lazola Maku's official announcement video, and Mamelodi Sundowns are supposedly close to finalizing the signing of the player.

The source informed SoccerBeat that the transfer is "basically done," meaning that the confirmation of the move is pending only formalities. Sundowns appear to be feeling confident about finalizing the deal and are getting ready to unveil the player in their usual style, as they are preparing an announcement video.

After garnering a lot of attention for his performances, Maku would be taking a giant leap forward in his career if he were to join the defending champions. His expected arrival would bolster an already formidable squad, adding to Sundowns' reputation for acquiring some of the country's most promising talents.

No official statement has been made by either the club or the player's current employers. The transfer is still not official until someone says so, but the reported progress suggests that an announcement could be coming soon.

Maku would become a part of a star-studded squad that competes both at home and on the continental stage if the transfer goes through. His possible addition follows Sundowns' pattern of recruiting, which has been to mix established foreign players with rising local talent.

Many fans have taken to social media in response to the rumors, wondering how he could fit into the team's lineup. The club's recent moves in the transfer market have stoked a lot of interest in the upcoming season.

No additional information, such as the duration of any agreement or the financial conditions, has been made public. As far as SoccerBeat is aware, the usual procedural requirements will soon be met, and an official announcement is anticipated soon after.

No one from Maku's camp could be reached for comment when this was published. Once the deal is finalized, Sundowns will presumably announce the transfer through their official channels.

With this highly-anticipated signing, Sundowns will be able to bolster their squad even further as they aim for domestic and continental glory. Maku would be able to play with and learn from some of the best players in the continent if he made the transfer.

The club is finalizing the deal and getting ready to announce it, so more details should come out soon.
