Orlando Pirates have maintained their unbeaten start to the 2026/27 ABC Motsepe League Gauteng campaign after playing out a 2-2 draw against Dube Continental in an entertaining encounter.

The Buccaneers demonstrated resilience to secure a valuable point away from home, with young talents Joy Manana and Sibusiso Tau scoring the goals that helped the team avoid defeat.

Manana, 21, and Tau, 19, played important roles in the contest, continuing to showcase their potential as Pirates seek to establish themselves in the provincial competition.

Although the team managed to find the back of the net twice, they were unable to secure all three points, extending their run of consecutive draws.

Following the result, Pirates have collected five points from their opening three matches, recording one victory and two successive draws. Their unbeaten record represents an encouraging start, although the technical team will be eager to see the players turn their recent performances into victories.

Coach Vincent Rammoni will take encouragement from his team's attacking contribution, particularly the goals scored by the young players. However, conceding twice will also provide areas for improvement as the coaching staff prepares for the next challenge.

The Buccaneers will face Spartans on October 23, 2026, at Wits Marks Park. The fixture presents another opportunity for Pirates to claim their second victory of the campaign and strengthen their position in the league.

With their unbeaten record intact, Pirates will aim to build momentum, improve defensively and continue collecting valuable points as the season progresses.
