Carling Knockout Quarter-Final Fixtures Confirmed as Eight Teams Chase Cup Glory

The race for the 2026 Carling Knockout Cup title has reached an exciting stage, with the quarter-final fixtures confirmed following the conclusion of the Round of 16. Eight teams remain in contention for the trophy as the competition moves closer to its decisive stages.

Defending champions Orlando Pirates have kept their hopes of retaining the title alive after securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Milford FC. Tshepang Moremi scored twice, while Thapelo Mokobodi also found the net to help the Buccaneers advance comfortably.

Kaizer Chiefs also progressed to the quarter-finals after defeating TS Galaxy 3-0 at FNB Stadium. Wandile Duba was the standout performer, scoring a superb hat-trick to secure qualification for Amakhosi. The victory will boost the team's confidence as they look to turn their recent performances into a serious challenge for silverware.

Mamelodi Sundowns booked their place in the last eight with a narrow 1-0 win over Marumo Gallants at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. Siyanda Ndlovu scored the decisive goal to keep the Brazilians' hopes of winning another domestic trophy alive.

Other teams that secured qualification include AmaZulu FC, Golden Arrows, Sekhukhune United and Siwelele FC. Golden Arrows impressed with a commanding 4-0 victory over Chippa United, while AmaZulu edged Kruger United 1-0. Sekhukhune United defeated Richards Bay 3-1, and Siwelele progressed after beating Polokwane City 4-3 on penalties following a goalless draw.

Durban City and Stellenbosch FC contested the final Round of 16 encounter to determine the remaining quarter-final participant.

The quarter-finals are scheduled for the weekend of 6–8 November, with the semi-finals set for 21–22 November. The final will take place on 12 December.

With a place in the semi-finals at stake, the remaining teams must deliver consistent performances under pressure. Orlando Pirates will aim to defend their crown, while Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns will be determined to prevent the Buccaneers from lifting the trophy again.
