Bafana Bafana winger Thapelo Maseko continued his impressive start at FC Copenhagen by providing an assist in their 3-0 victory over Braga in the UEFA Conference League.

The 22-year-old was included in Copenhagen’s starting line-up and played the full 90 minutes as the Danish side began their European campaign with a convincing win. Maseko made a valuable contribution to the performance, helping his team secure all three points against their Portuguese opponents.

The match was an important milestone for the South African international, as it marked his first appearance in the UEFA Conference League. Copenhagen also made a positive start to their campaign in the competition, giving the team confidence ahead of their upcoming European fixtures.

Maseko has enjoyed an encouraging beginning to his time in Denmark since joining Copenhagen. The winger has recorded two goals and two assists in eight appearances across all competitions, showing that he can contribute in different attacking situations.

His latest assist adds to those numbers and highlights the progress he has made since arriving at the club. Maseko has been given opportunities to feature in the team, and his ability to create chances could help him earn more regular playing time as the season continues.

Playing the entire match against Braga was another positive sign for the young winger. Completing 90 minutes in a European fixture provides valuable experience, particularly for a player looking to establish himself at a club competing in both domestic and continental competitions.

Maseko will now be hoping to build on his performance and maintain his momentum in the coming weeks. Consistency will be important as he competes for his place in the Copenhagen team and looks to improve his contribution in front of goal.

His development will also be encouraging for Bafana Bafana supporters, who will want to see South African players perform well at clubs abroad. Strong displays in European competitions could help Maseko strengthen his position in the national team and increase his chances of receiving further opportunities.

Copenhagen will return to domestic action this weekend when they face Aarhus in the league. The Danish side will then turn their attention back to the UEFA Conference League, where they are scheduled to meet Serbian club Crvena zvezda next week.

The upcoming fixtures will provide Maseko with further opportunities to demonstrate his ability and contribute to his team's results. After recording an assist in a comfortable European victory, he will be eager to continue his positive run and help Copenhagen maintain their strong start to the campaign.
