Chargers veteran cornerback Donte Jackson is among the names who could find a new home before the 2026 NFL trade deadline.
The 2026 NFL trade deadline is approaching fast, and many expect the Chargers to be in the thick of it.
Los Angeles' horrendous 0-5 start to the season has many predicting they will be sellers at the deadline. That’s certainly possible as things stand, and the Chargers have plenty of players they could deal.
One name being floated around the trading block is veteran cornerback Donte Jackson.
Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox identified the Bills as a potential suitor for the Chargers cornerback.
Knox said the Chargers could get a 2027 fifth-round pick in exchange for Jackson.
"Teams may not be eager to make a move for Jackson until he's clearly healthy, but he's a player worth targeting before November 10."
Knox also listed the Panthers as another potential suitor. Jackson started his career with the Panthers and played his first six seasons with them.
The 30-year-old has played in four games this season, recording eight tackles, one forced fumble, and two passes defended. Jackson has been a strong run defender but average in coverage.
While Jackson doesn't classify as a star, the Bills could use all the secondary help they could get. Buffalo ranks near the bottom of the NFL in pass defense, allowing the 27th-most passing yards and the 29th-most passing touchdowns.
Jackson could certainly provide a boost and give the team a chance to compete for a Super Bowl, while the Chargers likely look ahead to next season.
