Millers Away In FA Cup

Rotherham United have been drawn against Bromley for the first round proper of the FA Cup.

Rotherham United have been drawn against non-league side Bromley in the next round of the FA Cup which will be the second time the pair have met in this competition.

That only other game in this competition between the two took place at the New York Stadium when it was a comfortable victory for the Millers. Ben Wiles put the hosts in front just before half-time with Freddie Ladapo doubling the lead on the stroke of half-time. Six minutes into the second half the Ravens went down to ten men with Will Grigg making it three-nil for the hosts ten minutes from time.

It was a first round tie at home for Bromley last season when Bristol Rovers were the visitors to Hayes Lane. Rovers were two-up when Jemiah Umolu halved the deficit on eighty-three minutes but Bromley couldn’t get another and were knocked out at the first time of asking.

Last season the Millers went out in the first round of this competition despite Sam Nombe opening the scoring on five minutes at the New York Stadium against Swindon Town. Swindon equalised on the seventy-second minute through Ollie Palmers sending the game to extra time despite them going down to ten men in the seventh minute of time added on at the end of the game. On the one hundredth and sixteenth minute Darren Oldaker won the game for the visitors.Last season the Millers went out in the first round of this competition despite Sam Nombe opening the scoring on five minutes at the New York Stadium against Swindon Town.
