The Auburn Tigers have suffered their second loss of the weekend, with four-star defensive lineman Nate Kamba flipping to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday, according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
Kamba is from Charlotte, North Carolina, and committed to Auburn back on June 14, shortly after he officially visited. He also officially visited the Gamecocks and NC State Wolfpack, with the Gamecocks circling back and completing the flip the day after beating Tennessee Volunteers, with Kamba in attendance for the big win.
He is ranked as the No. 242 overall player and No. 28 defensive lineman in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 10 player from North Carolina.
Kamba has had a strong senior season for Corvian Community High School, helping lead them to an 8-1 start. In seven games, he has 26 tackles, 16.0 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks, and one forced fumble.
Auburn now has 23 commits in its 2027 recruiting class, the first under head coach Alex Golesh. The Tigers still have an impressive haul along the defensive line, holding commitments from four-star defensive linemen Donivan Moore and Marquis Evans as well as four-star edge rushers James Pace and Rion Jackson.
Rivals ranks the class as the 15th best in the country and the 8th best in the SEC. Thirteen of their 15 commits are four-star prospects.
