Changes only impact those who watch via the sister brand NOW
Champion free speech and independent journalism while unlocking exclusive benefits.
Sky TV has introduced a new way to watch Sky Sports — and it doesn't come with a satellite dish, new set-top box, or a lengthy contract. Its sub-brand NOW (née NOW TV) has shaken up its Sky Sports packages, with football coverage now available in a more affordable, standalone bundle for the first time.
This marks the only time NOW has allowed streamers to pay just for the football, instead of the whole lot.
NOW is available to download as an app on your iPhone, iPad, Android phone or tablet, Fire TV, PlayStation, or dozens of other devices.
You can pay for any of its NOW Memberships on a rolling monthly basis, with the ability to cancel anytime, like you'd expect from streamers like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, compared to a traditional satellite contract.
This sister brand to Sky TV does offer 12-month contracts for all of its Memberships at a discount. You can quickly purchase any of these directly from NOW or via Apple and Amazon apps with your existing payment details.
For football fans who aren't interested in anything else, NOW Football Membership, brings together 1,500 live matches this season across the Premier League, WSL, EFL, SPFL and more. You'll get access to live and on-demand coverage from Sky Sports. Prices start from £23.99 a month.
If you want everything except football, the newly-launched NOW Multi-Sport Membership is the way to go. Starting from £19.99 a month, this brings together a swathe of Sky Sports coverage, including every Formula 1 race weekend, golf majors, men’s and women’s international cricket, year-round tennis, darts, rugby, NFL and more.
Of course, if you still want all-you-can-watch access to everything on Sky Sports, there's a bundle for that too. Dubbed NOW All Sky Sports, it brings together the complete Sky Sports line-up, with prices from £27.99 a month.
Here's what the selection of channels looks like in practice:

Discussing the shake-up, Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV and NOW, told GB News: "Every sports fan has the moments they can’t wait for, whether it’s kick-off, the first ball of a Test match or a match-winning double in the darts.
“With our new memberships, fans have more choice over the sport they pay for. Football fans can choose Football, and fans of F1, cricket, golf and more can pick Multi-Sport. And those who want everything can still get All Sky Sports. It’s a simpler, more flexible way to get the sport you love on NOW."
The NOW app is available across more than 60 compatible devices, offering access to live and upcoming events. If multiple Premier League fixtures overlap, NOW supports Multiview to let you watch selected live matches together on one screen so you can follow more of the action without switching between streams.
Subscribers can also add Boost for Full HD 1080p, Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and streaming on two devices at once. Ultra Boost is also available with All Sky Sports and Multi-Sport, with availability varying by content and device.
Football and Multi-Sport Memberships are available directly via NOW, Apple's App Store, and Amazon. Anyone who watches NOW via EE will continue to receive the full Sky Sports line-up with All Sky Sports.
