James McFadden was less than impressed by what Minsu Kim did in the early stages of Rangers’ 2-2 draw against Dundee at Dens Park.
While the South Korean was among the best players for the visitors, playing in a central role on Saturday night, he did not have the best start to the game.
He made an error early on that could have proven to be costly and may have seen Rangers come away from Dundee empty-handed.
What do you make of the ratings?
McFadden slammed Minsu for being careless in possession in the first half of the game. Just a few minutes after kick-off, he received the ball in his half and needed to take it forward.
However, he made a casual backheel pass attempt that was far away from any of his teammates. This saw Dundee regain possession in a promising situation, and while they failed to make anything of it, it was an unnecessary thing to do so early on the contest.
McFadden told Sky Sports Main Event: “That’s slack from Minsu, playing that backheel.”
Derek McInnes will certainly not have liked that from Minsu. Losing the ball in your own half is a major problem in football because it immediately hands the opposition a high-value attacking opportunity in a dangerous area of the pitch.

Missed the chance to go top 😤
With Dujon Sterling and Emmanuel Fernandez left exposed, a turnover there would have led to a quick counter-attack. As a key attacking player, he is expected to protect the ball or play safe when dropping deep, rather than risking a careless loss that exposed Rangers.
At this level, especially away from home against a well-organised side, that carelessness is simply not good enough.
