Major update on Tyson Fury injury amid concerns of Anthony Joshua fight cancellation

Dana White has provided a huge update on the rumours that Tyson Fury may be forced to pull out of the Anthony Joshua fight with an injury.

The biggest fight in British boxing history is now a little over a month away as heavyweight greats Fury and Joshua are set to finally settle their rivalry on December 11 in Cardiff.

However, shock reports have recently claimed that Fury is dealing with an unknown injury that could lead to him pulling out, a rumour that Zuffa Boxing and UFC boss White has finally addressed.

Dana White reveals truth behind Tyson Fury injury rumour

Rumours of Fury's injury first emerged when former heavyweight champion Frank Bruno revealed that he had been told that Fury had an undisclosed injury.

Speaking on the latest episode of Fight Your Corner with Tony Bellew, he said: "I looked at him the other day and I think someone was talking to me in the gym that he’s got some injury.

"Which may stop him from going into the fight with Anthony Joshua. And having that in your head isn't nice."

But when presented with the rumour, White, who continues to claim that he is co-promoting Fury v Joshua, explained that, as far as he's aware, the rumour is completely false.

"That's the first time I heard it. I would certainly like to think that I would know that if it was true," White told Sky Sports.

"I haven't even heard the rumour, let alone the fact that it's true. It's all a part of the fun as it leads up closer and closer to the fight. But yeah, I hope that one is not true, but I'm pretty sure I would have heard by now."

Later reports have suggested that Fury is nursing a black eye on his left side, but this would likely not be enough to rule him out of the bout.

Dana White on what's next after Fury v Joshua

With that in mind, fans can safely assume that all is well in both Fury and Joshua's camps and that the fight will still be going ahead next month.

And should the fight deliver as many expect it, then White has suggested that an immediate rematch could be on the cards, regardless of who is victorious in Cardiff.

"Anything is possible, if that fight ends up like the Fury Wilder fight, who the hell didn't want to see that again after it happened?" White said when asked about the possibilty of Fury v Joshua 2.

"So we will see how this thing plays out and anything is possible."
